![]() You need to keep your modesty in mind. Edit: Idea inspired by the first person who had guts enough to damage their eyes, Ethrin. Edited for updates: some pictures didn't work. 7/26 -------------------- |

Now, to let your eyes recover for a moment, I shall provide proof that it is indeed possible to look good in a costume with a few extra pounds. If you know what you're doing.
I don't know what it is exactly, but I suspect a few important things keep this costume from becoming "Mega Rabi-en-Rose". One, it's a good costume to begin with, one that hides her lines by not hugging the skin, and has extra-wide ribbons around the ankles to fool the eye; she knows how to use make-up; she can smile like a fashion model; and she has a few extra pounds, not a lot of extra pounds. She clearly knows she's not a petite size and makes the costume work around her weight. Remember, boys and girls, this is a good example; one that should be praised for Making It Work. There was another Rabi-en-Rose at that convention with a thinner build who looked much worse, simply because of a limp costume. Even the bunny ears were limp. And if you must commit acts of cosplay, please avoid that horrible satiny polyester crap. -------------------- "I used to be with it, but then they changed what 'it' was. Speaking of Ushicon...
MEGA SKULD SMASH! (dammit, take your glasses off for pictures! /me=photographer kicks self for not insisting) -------------------- "I used to be with it, but then they changed what 'it' was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's 'it' seems weird and scary to me." - Abe Simpson

Awesome stuff! I may use some of these submissions in the New Year's Bottom Ten.
I liked the pointed differences between the good and bad costumes. Very apt observations. -------------------- |

I have no problem with the Shinji here. Only because he reminds me of Toby McGuire.
What I do have a problem with is the fact that the felicia in the first foto is one or two good bumps away from exposing her cooch. Oh, and that Akio looks like a lesbian. -------------------- Ah, Assburgers.

I agree with Megane on the first picture. The girl is indeed quite cute. The skirt could be a little longer though, for modesty reasons. (This has nothing to do with the person's weight; fat or skinny. It's important that a girl should bend over in a skirt with no unnesscary panty flashes
I should scrower the Internet for badly dressed skinnies.... I will give credit to the web forum, Eleet Speak!, since that is where I found the pictures. Next up: Scary Skinnies!!! -------------------- |

I disagree. Eventually, most fanboys get fed up with jerkin' it and will attempt to seek female company. some will actually give in to the idea of bathing and acting decently in public. if there's nothing to inspire this activity, then Communism has truly won. -------------------- Ah, Assburgers.

I dunno, I believe that Cammy *is* a man. Every time I see pictures, it looks like there's a lump where there shouldn't be. -------------------- Ah, Assburgers.

Be careful when you make fun of cosplayers on the internet..
...for one of them may find your topic and decide to comment. =P Yeah, I'm the Shinji. I'm not afraid to admit it. Hell, I'll even agree that that's a pretty bad picture. Heh, I'm awful at faking facial expressions. You guys are pretty harsh on a lot of these pictures, and rightly so, I suppose. Especially about that Felicia chick.. *shudder* Meh.. just figured I'd let you guys know what I think. I'll leave ya with somethin' else to pick apart. Have fun, keep off the animals, and don't feed the grass. |

First off, I just like to say, Wow, you're right, that is a pretty bad pic
But the one with you in the red isn't half bad, good work! By the way, I found the pic at Eleet Speak! Go to the thread that says Worst Cosplay Ever II and you should find your pic amongst the fat Night Warriors and Sailor Bubba. -------------------- |

Hey, a response. =)
I know the guy who took that picture of me. His website is actually very popular among the cosplay community here in Florida. I just wish I hadn't posed for that picture now, haha. I think I'll pass on the Eleet Speak forums. I've had enough unwanted publicity for one day. Thanks for the compliment, too. |
